Happy 4th

The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays.  I come from a family where my Grandpa P fought in WWII, and my dad served in the army.  My grandpa Peterson had such a love for his country.  He flew a flag until the day that he died.  I always get emotional when I hear the star spangled banner, or see a soldier in uniform.  So naturally we make a big deal about the 4th at our home

Pictures are a little out of order, but we played hard that day, so when it came time for fireworks Taylee fell asleep.  She woke up for the grand finale.

 Colton loved it!

Carter's first 4th.  We wore him out too, he slept 8 hours straight that night.

Colton's friend Tegan on the slip in slide!

This is what you call a "poor man's pool" the kids loved it.  It is still set up and the kids use it everyday!

Taylee swam until her lips and legs were blue

No dinky little slip n slide at our house!

Our good friends Mark and Summer Mortensen's little one week old.  She is so cute and such a good baby.  Can you believe the difference two months makes.  They are two months and one day apart.

We had lots of family, friends and food.

Grandma snuggle time!

We really had the nicest weather and a great day!
